Ode To My Dishwasher

Oh dishwasher, my very best friend.

Your shiny silver cover reminds me of a Volvo I once knew.

I love putting my dirty dishes on your top and bottom shelves.

Push a button and come back, how easy is that.

Once filthy dishes have been made clean.

You have cut my kitchen time in half with your wash cycle.

You have made my dishes pretty and pristine with your dry cycle.

A new found love for cooking I have discovered, and its all because of you.

I make a mess with my pots and pans...

Then turn them over to your trustworthy hands.

My counters are no longer cluttered with dirty dishes.

Hepatitis no longer lives on my silverware.

No more wet shirts from standing over a soapy sink.

Yes, my sweet, my precious, my love, you have made my life sweeter.

It is a pleasure to call you my friend.

I was going to tell you that the Pioneer Woman's chicken spaghetti would make a great freezer meal while you are out of commission.

This post is also entitled,
"Ode to an Inanimate Object that can't love me, but one that I would kiss if I could get away with..."

An ode....

...but it doesn't rhyme.

I wish I could mean to someone what Dishwasher means to you.

Love is a beautiful thing. Does he or she have a name. I like George or perhaps Bob that sounds like a hard worker name. Or for a girl Bertha don't nobody mess with Bertha she is working.

Yay for you! You are so funny! This is definitely an ode to a nice new dishwasher and not an old, barely cleans the dishes, apartment complex dishwasher :)

I'm with Heather. Bertha, if it's a girl. Chuck or Bob if it's a boy. And then you can refer to him/her in casual conversation and people will think you have a servant and then you, too, can be rich like me! See how that works?

YOu are crazy... I wonder where that came from! lol... My dishwasher has trash bags, medicines, peanut butter, dried fruit, baggies, etc.... stored in it... and our oven stores cat food... and our microwave stores cookies and such... I told you I do not cook... so no dishes either! lol....
