Mom of the Year...

Yep...that is me! Missy Lowery...Mother extraordinaire.
I cook, I clean, I wash clothes, I teach, I do yard work.
Then there is that one crazy day when you make a big lunch and then get too busy to clean up from it...then you are gone the rest of the day and don't get home till 8:30completely forgetting about the unwashed dishes upstairs...completely unknowing to the fact that in one days time the children somehow used all of the silverware...then comes the moment that every wife and Mother loves to hear...

Stacy says to Lana,
"Lana, why are you eating your cereal with a soup ladle?"

I gasp...
Crap, I was in the shower, she got some cereal, there are no clean spoons because I am after all the Mother of the Year!
I'm sure my husband left for work this morning shaking his head wondering why in the world he leaves his children with me every day.

So let that be a lesson to you all...
If you ever want to buy me something, perhaps I need some spoons!

Lana looks like some 3rd world country child eating their daily allotment of parridge. And remind me just why did I send them back to you? You need to read my thankful post for today, it's dedicated to my grandchildren.

"Mom, ALL the cool girls eat their cereal with a soup ladle. Geez."

I was thinking she would say "But Mother, the better to get more cereal at one bite!? Hello?!" I still think you qualify, dirty spoons and all.

The ONLY thing this means is that you now need to teach family the beautiful art of dish washing. I now make sure there is clean dish water in the dish pan before meals, and everyone washes their own. It's wonderful. The burden doesn't fall on any one person. Lana would love this, I bet!!!

You are a GREAT mom!!!

I love this post!

You're in good company, friend. If that's as bad as it gets ... you're doing awesome! :)

I always eat my cereal with a ladle. I've been thinking of doing it competetively...but for now it's a hobby.

Megan Thompson misses Missy Lowery and is very sad to see that she has missed her friend's blonde children turn brunette.
