If you know me...

Then what I am about to tell you is going to be a complete shock...
Today, Ms Valerie brought Lana another Birthday present...

As you can see by the look on her face she was happy...

She looked at Ms Valerie with much thanks and admiration...

But what may you ask could bring such happiness to my little 6 year old?

What was inside the box?

Yes, Ladies and gentlemen...we now have a kitten. Jennifer, Ashley, and Kim, you may all pick yourselves up off the floor now and Say "AH, Kitty kitty".

I can't even believe that Stacy and I agreed to it. Maybe its guilt or maybe we're really just softies, or maybe we secretly wanted a cat. OK, so it's not the last one...but I figured I got my first and only kitty when I was 6, so why not Lana too

Ms Valerie asked me last Sunday if she could give her a kitten for her birthday and we did say yes. Ms Valerie even brought her in a box and with a kitty litter box, feeding tray, cat food and a certificate to get her spayed. After being Spayed, she will be an outdoor kitty, I assure you that folks!!!!

But until then, I am happy that Lana is happy and seeing her absolute shocked happiness was worth the fact that I don't like cats.

I must say though, I think this one might grow on me...she is kind of cute. And Lana wasted no time in naming her...she immedietly said her name was Anna.

So there you have it folks. We are not cat people but we have a cat. One is plenty. Don't bring us your strays.

Yeah! I AM NOT a cat lover either but the kids got a kitten this time last year from a friend, and they do kinda grow on you. Callie was supposed to be an outdoor cat, but she stays in quite a bit now. We had to have her declawed because of the furniture thing. Poor thing, we took her at about 10 or 11 months old to be declawed and spayed and then found out that she was also pregnant! Shew, that was close. But I did feel very guilty about the whole "getting rid of the kitten thing" And she had three major procedures at once! Moral to the story...get her spayed ASAP.

I am a cat person, I have three, but I think that is too many actually. Cats are cleaner and don't smell like dogs. Although I do love dogs too. She's really cute, hope Lana and her become best friends!

Please tell me you named her Oreo.

Well, now Lana can have a "kit-tea"
party with Anna!

I really can't believe it. I am definitely shocked. So is Dad. But, we love the expression on Lana's face.

I guess I won't be coming down until she becomes outdoors...I'm allergic to cats.

Enjoy your kitty, Lana!
