Not a moment to soon!

Just when I thought I might literally pass out and die from the heat...my house is beginning to cool. Ah, cooling house. Ah, feel it with me...the cool...let it wash over you for just a minute...cool, cool, cool...it is streaming from the air vents and touching upon your hot sweaty body.
Ah, cool air...the best invention ever!
Thank God for friends that are in the heating and air business and can come over after hours and fix things for lots cheaper than if we "called a guy".
After all the car repairs of late, my feeble heart could not have stood another big Debit. This one will be much much better.

I did take the kids to the movies today. We saw Meet Dave, which was actually very very funny! Very funny Eddie Murphy and great one liners that only us old people would get.

Now to go take a shower and get ready to sleep in coolness. Cool cool cool. I think I will make up a song about it.
Thank you Lord for AC that works. It truly is a blessing. I am not a nice person when I am hot.

I'm glad you're up and running nice and cool. I'm sitting at the table in front of the a/c unit so I can cool down. Dad thinks I'm crazy. No, I'm just a woman over 50.

We have six months of over 100 degree temps in Phoenix, AZ. Jim remembers the days when he was little when his family had no cooling system at all! I don't know how he did it! When our power was out for several days one summer I made Jim take me to a hotel! That was when the entire town of Gila Bend was out of power. It was either a hotel or the jail that had a generator! At least when we have 114 plus temps the humidity is about 5 percent. It's like jumping in a clothes dryer on high! Ahhh... AC... wonderful invention. I would not have been a good pioneer!

I can so identify. AC has been out in my van for about three weeks now. NOT FUN to go anywhere in it. Gives new meaning to the term Bad Hair Day!

What did we so before AC. We went riding in the Jeep Sunday, not fun to hot.

Glad to hear that your air is fixed. Nothing else can break now, okay?

You so have to get the book Twilight and read it. Go to http://youtube.com/watch?v=xBvOhfL4mYw and watch the trailer for the movie. The book is that much better!

Glad it's fixed, I'd be grouchy too. In Dominica we take cold showers to cool off, sometimes several in one day!

Just read your other post about Mama Mia. I really want to see it soon. Maybe we can get some girls...OK..."women" together soon and go see it.
